How We Verify Plugin Facts

Last updated 2026-10-11

Three guarantees

Every listing in this catalog is built from three guarantees. These are not aspirational statements — they describe the actual verification process that produced the plugins you see today.

Sourced from the marketplace

Pricing state, category, and deployment details are taken from the official marketplace listing (Microsoft AppSource, Salesforce AppExchange, Atlassian Marketplace, Autodesk App Store) or from the vendor's own product documentation page. We do not infer, extrapolate, or fill in missing data with industry averages.

Pricing stated as published

If a plugin lists a starting price on its marketplace page, we record it. If the page says "Contact us" or shows no price at all, we record that as unpublished. We never convert "free trial" into "free" and we never guess at tier breakpoints the vendor chose not to disclose.

Deployment detail not marketing

The deployment field reflects the actual installation path — cloud-only, on-premises with local infra requirements, or hybrid with both options. This is not a reworded tagline. It describes where the software runs, sourced from the technical specifications or deployment guide linked from the marketplace.

The fields we record

We record the fields each marketplace actually publishes. The table lists every field with its current coverage across the catalog, so the gaps are as visible as the data — fields the marketplaces do not publish (SSO, data residency, minimum plan, admin install) stay blank instead of being guessed. Anything outside these fields — user reviews, feature comparisons, subjective ratings — is not in scope.

SSO, data residency, minimum plan, hosting region, and admin install: no marketplace in the catalog currently publishes these fields, so they are blank everywhere — shown as an em dash, never filled in.

What an em dash means

An em dash (—) in any field means the vendor has not published that information. It does not mean "no" or "not available." It means we looked for it in the standard places — marketplace listing, vendor site, documentation — and found no statement either way.

We do not call vendors to ask for unpublished facts. If it is not on the page, it is not in the catalog.

What we do not do

This catalog is limited in scope by design. We do not evaluate quality, rank plugins by performance, or accept payment for placement. Here is what we explicitly do not do:

  • We do not score or rank plugins beyond alphabetical and date-verified order.
  • We publish no ratings or reviews of our own; the /best collections show the marketplace's own rating and review counts, with their source.
  • We do not charge vendors for inclusion, updates, or higher placement.
  • We do not write subjective descriptions or feature comparisons.

Unpublished pricing

Of the 23935 plugins currently listed, 4198 have no published pricing. These are marked clearly with a dashed border badge. The count is computed directly from the catalog data.

4198 OF 23935 PLUGINS

4198 plugins have no pricing published on their marketplace listing or vendor site. This is 18% of the catalog. We do not follow up with vendors to request pricing — if it is not public, we mark it as unpublished.

This page describes what we check. For the rest of how the catalog operates:

  • Methodology — the four marketplaces the data comes from, how freshness works, and how we classify pricing and deployment states.
  • Editorial Policy — who writes the descriptive text, why we add no ratings of our own, and how we handle affiliate links.
  • About — what the catalog is and who runs it.
